Newt Wins and the Race is On!

South Carolina surprises Mitt and the mainstream pundits by giving Newt Gingrich 40 percent of the vote!

The Race is Still Romney’s…this was a headline in the National Journal on Friday, January 20, 2012. Completely delusional is what I say! At the moment the race for Americas Next President is still Wide Open!!!

I don’t know if you’re aware of this already, but Newt Gingrich won the South Carolina primary vote on Saturday, January 21, 2012 in a fairly convincing manner, with just over 40 percent of the vote.

From my perspective, the mainstream media’s reaction to anyone other than Mitt Romney winning any of the primaries is almost comical. “Even in the wake of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s surging momentum in South Carolina, the fact remains that Romney is the overwhelming front-runner for the Republican nomination — and Saturday’s primary won’t do anything to change that.”, is a quote from the National Journal’s Reid Wilson.

Kind of sounds like he was expecting Gingrich to pull off the “upset,” doesn’t it?

Remember the vote in Iowa? The governor of that fine state went on T.V. to say “a win by Ron Paul will just devalue your vote.” He was trying hard to coerce a Romney win…the population pulled a fast one on everyone and Rick Santorum won that vote!

I believe the powers that be didn’t even see that one coming until it was far too late for them to attempt to head it off at the pass. Rick Santorum was not supposed to be in any kind of position to do that.

Now, they’re trying to downplay a win by Gingrich as being not all that important. They are still sticking with Romney as their man, rather than admitting they either were wrong or were lying to us. And that brings up the question, “Why is Romney the sweetheart candidate of the media?”

It was suggested yesterday that sometime next week, Rudy Giuliani will be endorsing Newt for the Florida primary. His word carries a lot of weight with all the New York retirees that are living in Florida. What will the excuse be if Newt wins that states primary on the 31st of January? I believe Santorum has a decent shot in that one also…we’ll just have to wait and see.
