Romney Played Role in Setting Up Obamacare
It has recently come to light that Mitt Romney, or more correctly, some of his aides played a critical role in setting up the “Affordable Health” bill that we today call Obamacare.
This would somewhat explain why he has been so hesitant to say what almost all republicans want to hear… That the version of universal healthcare he signed into law in Massachusetts (while he was governor) was a mistake.
NBC reporter Michael Isikoff, wrote this report today outlining how this happened.
After taking a look at the White House visitor logs it was discovered that three (3) Romney aides had a dozen or so meetings during 2009 with senior White House officials, and at least one of the meetings Barack Obama himself, sat in on. (more…)
Romney misled business when running for governor

In the New Your Times online edition, yesterday (01 Oct, 2011) “Seeking Taxes, Romney Went After Business” (by Michael Barbaro) appeared, highlighting some of the ways Governor Romney’s administration went about closing deficits in the Massachusetts state budget.
The basis of the article is that Romney went after “loopholes” that businesses in the state enjoyed and both Romney and most of the Democrats claimed was not right and not fair. To me, this points out one of the greatest issues with politics, and the reporting of politics in America today. (more…)
