Obama Then versus Obama Now
Over at AmericanCrossroads.org they have put together a video to show the two faces of Barack Obama on “healthcare.” One is the “Obama the Senator” face and the other is the “Obama the President” face. I find it just amazing that these two faces can live in close proximity to each other and one doesn’t seem to bother the other one at all!
Ron Paul or a Wheelbarrow…which do YOU choose?
Hi again and today I would like to point out an article over at PersonalLiberty.com by John Myers concerning probably the most compelling reason to take Ron Paul seriously.
The article is titled “Your Choice: Ron Paul or a Wheelbarrow.” In it, John talks about our nations debt, and what happens when there is too much debt on a national level.
In Mr. Myers article he includes a very telling chart, straight from the Federal Reserve showing the U.S. base money supply since 1910, it’s acceleration in size starting in the mid 1970′s and it’s explosion in size since 2010. And boy, oh boy, has the base money supply really exploded under Obama! (more…)

A couple of fine examples of political games have been seen in the last week.

Thomas Jefferson Said…
“…I know nothing more important to inculcate into the minds of young people than the wisdom, the honor, and the blessed comfort of living within their income…”
In other words, the most important part of life is to live within your means! If you want to improve your lifestyle, first increase your income, then enjoy your new lifestyle.
This is part of a much larger speech he gave at the time, but it sums up his, and most of America’s founding fathers beliefs, that the worst thing our nation could do was to go into debt and saddle those not responsible for that debt, with that debt.
They knew that for a nation, deficit spending was even easier than it is for an individual. And, that kind of spending ALWAYS has to be repaid!

With all the debate these days about the debt limit and the “up and down” or the “clean” vote last night (01 June 2011) I thought this quote was quite relevant. Congress overwhelmingly voted to NOT increase the debt ceiling without mandating spending cuts.
One of the things the founding fathers was very serious about was keeping the nation from going into debt…and if debt was necessary, they wanted it paid off as soon as possible!
The founding fathers expected this nation to promote Liberty, Freedom and Prosperity (for the individual) above all else. They knew that if all people had Liberty, the nation had it’s Freedom and all individuals had the ability to Prosper, then the nation would prosper also, both in money and in reputation.

Personal Freedom and Americas Next President

George Washington addressed personal liberty and national freedom in his farewell address by saying…
“The unity of government which constitutes you one people, is also now dear to you. It is justly so. For it is the main pillar in the edifice of your real independence, the support of your tranquility at home, your peace abroad, of your safety, of your prosperity, of that very liberty which you so highly prize.”
As you can see from his writings, President Washington thought our federal government’s main jobs should be to insure that we remain independent as a nation, support tranquility inside our nations borders, ensure each citizens peace when in other countries, ensure our safety (other writings indicate that he means from physical threats and violence), ensure our ability to become as prosperous as each individual chooses and to ensure each and every citizens Liberty.
