Rick Perry is in, Tim Pawlenty is out and Michele Bachmann won the Iowa straw poll on the 13th of August, 2011 in the race for Americas Next President.
Let’s start with the Iowa Straw Poll results.
The top three finishers were:
- Michele Bachmann with 4,823 votes
- Ron Paul with 4,671 votes

“Ok, what is it that you want to ask?”, I hear you saying to yourself.
The question is, What do you think of the current field of Presidential candidates?
Are you pretty excited about any of the folks that have declared “I would like to be President of the United States!”
There have already been a fair amount of people declare that they are in it to win it.
Republican Debate in Greenville, South Carolina

Good to see you’ve come back…thank you!
In the spirit of America’s Next President, I was just wondering if you watched the Republican debate (either live or taped) from Greenville, South Carolina?.
The combatants were Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, Tim Pawlenty, Rick Santorum and Herman Cain.

Some of my thoughts are as follows;
Herman Cain made big gains in all areas of his campaign. The focus group with Frank Luntz sure thought so too! I thought the line of the night belonged to Cain when he said that “I’m proud of the fact that I’ve never held public office. All those politicians in Washington have held public office before they got to the capital and How’s That Working Out for YOU?”, (I don’t have the quote in front of me, so please excuse if I’ve paraphrased just a bit!).
