Hi again and welcome back.
Today is the 24th of April, 2012 and the day that 5 Northeastern states hold their primary elections to help decide the Republican nominee to represent the party this November, and take on Barack Obama (and the Democrats) in the Election of America’s Next President.
The 5 states holding elections are Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New York. At stake is a total of 231 delegates, with the breakdown looking like this:
- Delaware 17 delegates
- Rhode Island 19 delegates
- Connecticut 28 delegates
- Pennsylvania 72 delegates
- New York 95 delegates
Although Mitt Romney is expected to win the lions share of these delegates, both Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich could surprise and win a substantial amount in this voting.
Check back often to see how things are going, and be sure to take a look at the election results just to the right of this article. Those results are being provided to us by townhall.com, so by all means, take a look around their site too.
Thanks for stopping by today and we’ll see you again real soon,
