Have you noticed our current President (Barack Obama) seems to think nearly everything can be fixed with a speech? No real details given, just some fairly general speech about what the overall picture should be or what he want’s in general.
Well, one only needs to go (once again) to the founding fathers of this country to find something that addresses this phenomenon. This gem by Ben Franklin says it perfectly. “Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something.” Plato said something pretty similar, so you know this is not just an American issue.
This is a recurring theme throughout history and it seems to be exacerbated when politics are involved. Please people, let’s elect folks that know when to stop speaking and start doing for the good of the country, not just the good of one faction of one party! A return to the idea of small government, personal liberty the ability to pursue one’s dreams will do wonders for this America!
Let’s elect someone as Americas Next President who knows the difference between when to give a speech and when to leap into action.
