Louisiana Belongs to Rick Santorum!
United States Flag high on the flagpole

This U.S. flag is flying proudly in the breeze.

I’m going way out on a limb here and predicting that Rick Santorum is going to win the Louisiana primary election today.

With 60% of the precincts reporting, Santorum has received 49% of the vote and has a 23% lead over Mitt Romney.  Newt Gingrich has garnered 17% of the vote and Ron Paul has 6%.  So, with such a large lead, we here at AmericasNextPresident.com are projecting Rick Santorum to be the winner in Louisiana tonight.

This will help him inch closer to Romney in the overall delegate count, but Santorum will need several showings like this without Romney breaking in with a win somewhere.  Having to make up a 300 delegate disadvantage is a steep hill to climb, but it is not an impossible goal.  In my view it is highly improbable, but it is not impossible!

This is just another step in the long run to win the right to represent the Republican Party in the 2012 Presidential Election and what they hope to be the end of Barack Obama’s reign over the country.

Tomorrow I’ll have final numbers for you and we’ll have the delegate count figured out also.

Talk to you then and let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.
