More Flexibility After the Election

More Flexibility After the Election

Did you hear about the overconfident president (Barack Obama) running for re-election?

At a nuclear proliferation meeting in Seoul, South Korea, Obama was caught on a “hot” microphone talking to Medvedev when he really didn’t want his words to be known by anyone but those present on the stage.

Yeah, believe or not, he told a leader of another country (Dimitri Medvedev, President of Russia) to relax for a while because after his election he would have a “more flexibility.”  Here is the video of Obama telling Dimitri Medvedev (the Russian President) just that!

Just in case you can’t make out what is being said, here is the important part for you:

Obama: On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.

Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…

Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.

Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir (meaning Vladimir Putin).

This is the same kind of stuff that has marked his entire presidency.  Saying something (or saying nothing) to us, then turning around and saying something completely different to those in politics.

So what do you think?  Is President Obama rightfully confident that he’ll be re-elected, or is this a false confidence?

Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below and we’ll see again soon,
